The Supply Chain Planning Analyst Intern will work in Supply Chain Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) team. The main responsibility of this position is to support accurate medium-term S&OP forecast to fulfillment centers and customer service centers with the goal of ensuring capacity to fulfill customer demand at the lowest cost possible. The intern will also be involved in improving forecasting process and adopting world-class forecasting tools. This position will work cross-functional between Supply Chain organization, fulfillment centers, IT, and Retail, to produce sales and operations forecast and investigate the root causes leading to high forecast accuracy in order to make improvement in forecast algorithm and processes. This position will be responsible for:
Coordinate with Retail and Supply Chan to publish weekly S&OP report in order for fulfillment centers and customer service centers to make accurate labor planning and operation decisions
Improve forecast accuracy. Analyze drivers for high inaccuracy and drive continuous improvement
Support complex ad-hoc supply chain analysis and projects
Support management team in metrics execution

Outstanding analytical, problem solving skills
Ability to work cross-functional within China organization and across Amazon locales
Must be detail-oriented with a demonstrated ability to self-motivate and follow through on issues
Proficiency in SQL, Microsoft Excel and other programming languages (Java, C++, VB etc.).
Good written English
Be able to work 4 – 5 days every week
Preferred Qualifications
Major in computer science, engineering, statistics or mathematics is preferred.
