The Product & Technology, China team is looking for a strong technologist to join the team in Beijing

As System Engineer, your responsibility is
• Monitoring and managing all installed systems and infrastructure
• Establish, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools
• The Setting, installing testing and maintaining operating systems, application software and system management tools
• Evaluate the existing systems and provide the technical direction to IT support staff.
• Oversee the development of customized software and hardware requirement.
• Plan and implement systems automation as required for better efficiency.
• Formulate and design the security system in place to maintain data safety.
• Oversee the constant availability of technical resources.
• Maintain and supervise the inventory.
• Timely reporting on the log sheet for the rapid response to any glitches
• Provide oncall support as required by our oncall schedule.
Requirements:
• BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
• More than 3 years of experience supporting enterprise infrastructure required.
• Good communication skills in Chinese and English
• Solid understanding and expertise in operating system building including Linux and Window.
• Experience as a Strong VMWare systems administrator to implement and support the systems in the environment
• Understand the infrastructure at the network, load balancers (F5 Big IP), security, and storage layers.
• Experience with configuration management including puppet, ansible or chef.
• Skill in performing routine operations tasks and their automation. Routine tasks include system monitoring, reviewing system and application logs, and production support
• Experience with system monitoring tools
• Experience with backup tools
• Knowledge of network switches, routers and firewalls and operating a VPN a plus
• Excellent communication skills, be able to interpret and discuss information with both tech and non-tech decision makers
• Strong problem solving skills
• Flexibility to work in a fast paced, and high-pressure environment interacting with cross functional teams
